1. What do we call what we do in the Writing Studio without offending or intimidating CAT 3s?

Writing studio veteran Jessica commented that she would have been one of those CAT students who would have been uncomfortable with the idea of getting tutoring or coaching with writing. She was a good writer! She didn’t need tutoring! Please give me and Angela your thoughts about names and descriptions of CAT 124 that could shift our image to being seen as a less remedial service.

2. What are your thoughts about tutoring/coaching?

This week you will visit sections to advertise what we are doing in CAT 124. Soon after, you will start meeting students and working with them on CAT 124 writing (and probably reading).
